I'M NEW HERE

I'm new here

What do you need to know?

Firstly, whether you have recently moved to the area, or are just with us for the first time, we hope that when you arrive you will feel completely at home. This is your church as much as anyone else's. So, relax, enjoy yourself, and please come and say hello to the person leading the worship.

Planning your visit

We have a number of different styles of worship around the benefice, from Messy Church to Compline. Have a look at each church page to see what is on offer. Or, if you want to see what our worship looks like before you come along, we live stream each Sunday from Radley and make the recording available afterwards.

Coming to a new church for the first time can be a little disorienting, so here are a few top tips:
  • Someone will meet you at the door to provide you with all that you need to take part. Their job is to help you to feel welcome. Please ask them anything, they'll be delighted to meet you. At the end of the service, the person who led the worship will stand by the door. As you walk past, please introduce yourself and say "I'm new".
  • Every person in our church was new once. We remember what it was like, so don’t panic, just relax. Join in if you want, sit and watch if you want, nobody will be looking at you. If you're unsure as to how to join in, ask the person next to you; they'll be happy to help.
  • Hospitality is a part of who we are. After the main morning services there is always tea and coffee served. We'd love for you to stay so we can get to know you a bit better.

We love to welcome new people to the congregations, and we hope that you feel at home very quickly.

You are always welcome here, and we can't wait to meet you.
