December in our churches

There is lots going on across the month of December in our churches, with all sorts of different events. Whether it's enjoying familiar carols, experiencing the joy of the Crib Service, or encountering the wonder of the Lantern Walk - there's something for everyone.

Four quiet preparations for Christmas, thinking about the Gospel stories.

Sunday 14th December

4.30pm - Carols at the Pub

Join us at the Bowyers Arms in Radley to sing your favourite carols, then warm up with a drink afterwards!

Friday 19th December​

6pm - Radley Lantern Walk

Our popular Lantern Walk is back! Put on your wellies, meet us at Radley College memorial arch for a 6pm start, and then discover a story of angels, shepherds, magi, and more as we walk by lantern-light - finishing with a mug of something warm at the stable.

Don't miss our fabulous Crib services - all-age fun, where we dress up and experience the joy  of Christmas with tinsel and tea-towels! 

Christmas Eve

9.30pm, Sunningwell,
11.30pm Radley and Kennington - Midnight Mass

Join us for the first celebration of Christmas. As darkness falls on Christmas Eve, we greet the world's true light. 

Christmas Day

8:00am, Radley (BCP, Holy Communion)
​10am, Sunningwell,
10am, Kennington,
11am, Radley

On Christmas morning, we gather to celebrate Jesus' birth. It won't be the same without you there! So come along and disover the joy of the angels, the eagerness of the shepherds, the perseverence of the magi, and the peace of the Christ-child this Christmas.

The 11am service from Radley will be live-streamed.

Sunday 28th December

On the Sunday after Christmas we will all be gathering together in Radley for our joint service. Please note that there are no other services around the benefice on this day.
